Robert Thomas Pattinson was born on May 13, 1986 in London, England. He has careers in modeling and music, however, he is most known for his acting ability. Robert Pattinson received his start at Barnes Theatre Company, where he worked backstage then moved on to actually performing. Soon after, he found an agent, and began looking for more professional roles. In 2005, he became fairly well known by Harry Potter fans around the world. He portrayed Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Cedric is a wizard who is Harry's competition in the Tri-Wizard tournament. Rob also starred in several other movies. He was in the television film Ring of Nibelungs, on the DVD version of Vanity Fair, Salvdor Dali in the biopic Little Ashes, an aspiring musician in How to Be, in the short film Summer House, and is set to be in the movie Remember Me formerly known as Memoirs.

Though Robert Pattinson has a very impressive resume, nothing compares to the role that shot him straight to stardom. His most famous role is as gorgeous vampire, Edward Cullen in the movie version of the best-selling book by Stephenie Meyer-- Twilight. Edward is a vampire who just happens to fall in love with the human, Bella Swan. Edward is described as " pale, ice cold, and heartbreakingly gorgeous, with bronze hair and golden eyes." Rob has expressed his apprehension of auditioning for Edward-- not only because girls around the world adore the book character, but also because its difficult to live up to the "perfection" of being a vampire. Rob is also signed on to star in the sequels to Twilight-- New Moon (to be released in Nov. 2009) and Eclipse (to be released in June 2010). Breaking Dawn has yet to be confirmed, but Rob has expressed in interest in filming the final movie of the Twilight Saga. In addition, Rob is also featured in Twilight singing two songs.
One is Never Think, which is on the Twilight Soundtrack and is played during the dinner scene when Edward and Bella are talking. The other song is Let Me Sign, which is played during the scene where Edward tries to save Bella.

As of June 2009, Rob is filming for the movie, Remember Me in New York, and in August 2009 is scheduled to begin filming for the Twilight Saga's Eclipse. Robert Pattinson has a very bright future ahead of him, and definitely has a lot more roles to come!
