Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen admits he is in a difficult situation at the club.

The Danish national team is out of contract at the end of the season. Despite negotiations between the two sides, no deal has yet been reached amid the interest of Barcelona and Bayern Munich, two of the European giants.

Christensen, unnamed in the Carabao final The ufabet Cup due to injury admits he is now facing a difficult time at Stamford Bridge.

“Things are manageable. Being part of a winning team is what I want to be as a footballer,” Christensen said.

“It was difficult because of all the discussions between the club and my people. I try to let go because I want to focus on the game and nothing has changed for me.”

“I go on the pitch every day without thinking about it. I let it be in front of the club and the caretakers. And I can focus on playing football. I was just focusing on winning. Really, it was a very difficult situation.”

“Things can still be done. Being part of a winning team is all that I want to be as a football player. It is hard because all the talks between the club and my guys, I try to keep it away because I want to focus and it has not changed for me,” he said.

“I go on the pitch every day not really thinking about it. I leave that to the club and my guys, and I can focus on playing football. I just focus on winning, really. It is a difficult situation.”

Christensen did not feature in the EFL Cup final due to injury, but Chelsea will be back in action on Wednesday against Luton Town.
